Neurofeedback Training Under the Supervision of Neuropsychologists - Accessible Like Never Before

At BrainDTC, we are committed to optimizing brain health and training the brain through scientifically proven and medication-free techniques to perform at its maximum potential and be able to better handle the demands of school, work, and life
Picture
One of the best ways to achieve the above is through a sophisticated brain exercise method called neurotherapy (also known as neurofeedback or EEG biofeedback). This form of brain training improves brain function through the use of visual and auditory cues and real-time feedback while playing video games, watching videos, or listening to audios of your choice.

Our neurotherapy program is run by brain experts and uses state-of-the-art technology to make it convenient, intuitive, fun, and simple enough for everyone to use!
"Think of neurofeedback as weight training for the brain; you exercise the brain pathways that help you concentrate, the way learning gymnastics or piano lessons grows neuro-pathways that focus on movement, balance, and music. Neurofeedback training is kind of like playing a video game, making it particularly appealing for children. You control what you see and hear on the screen by controlling your level of concentration."

Slowing or Reversal of Cognitive Decline

"Neurofeedback should play a major therapeutic role in many difficult areas. In my opinion, if any medication had demonstrated such a wide spectrum of efficacy, it would be universally accepted and widely used."

ADHD

Picture
ADHD is a well-studied condition in neurotherapy research. The American Academy of Pediatrics recognized in 2012 that neurotherapy is as well-validated as medication treatment and behavioral therapy for ADHD. It placed neurotherapy as a "Level 1 Best Support" intervention - the highest possible rating.

In a study of adolescents with self-reported attention and anxiety symptoms, the individuals receiving neurotherapy training reported improved symptoms after only five weeks of twice weekly neurotherapy sessions.

Anxiety

Neurotherapy has delivered positive results for anyone struggling with anxiety, irritability, or chronic stress and fatigue. In many cases, anxiety is associated with decreased alpha waves and increased beta waves. Neurotherapy can fix this imbalance.

As applied to general anxiety disorder (GAD), a number of studies have demonstrated positive changes in clinical outcome, with evidence of long-term anxiety reduction.

In a randomized control trial (RCT) of test anxiety, neurotherapy participants showed significant reduction compared to untreated participants or those only receiving relaxation training. In a randomized control trial (RCT) of test anxiety, neurotherapy participants showed significant reduction compared to untreated participants or those only receiving relaxation training.

Memory Problems

Neurotherapy can be a powerful tool to mediate cognitive decline that naturally occurs as we age. Several recent studies have reported better memory performance in mild cognitive impairment (MCI) following neurotherapy.

There is an emerging body of research on neurotherapy for improving cognitive function in such conditions as stroke and multiple sclerosis.

Neurotherapy can also help improve memory recall and increase overall cognitive dexterity in older individuals.
Just as physical exercise benefits the body, neurotherapy keeps the brain fit and resilient. By improving brain function, neurotherapy can result in an overall more positive mental outlook and increased feeling of resilience. It can therefore be used as an excellent supplement to a healthy diet and exercise routine.

Peak Performance

A growing number of professional athletes, business professionals, executives, attorneys, students, and otherwise healthy individuals use neurotherapy to optimize their day-to-day brain performance, gain a critical mental edge, and bolster their academic, occupational, or athletic performance.

In a study of highly talented musicians performing under stressful conditions, only musicians who received neurotherapy training had enhanced musical performance under stress.
Neurotherapy helps you achieve a more relaxed and focused mental state, making it easier to successfully handle stressful situations, process information more effectively, have quicker reaction times, and more easily find innovative solutions to the challenges encountered on a daily basis. It has proven to be so effective that it is now, in fact, part of the training program for US Olympic athletes as well as professional athletes in the NFL and NBA to help them get their brains into a state of improved attention, focus, discipline, and aim.
"Imagine we are learning to ride a bicycle with better balance. Many of us live life riding that bicycle in the sand. Neurofeedback guides us to take that bicycle onto a bike path and ride it more efficiently and smoothly. Once we have learned how to ride a bicycle, we never forget it. Once a brain becomes regulated via neurofeedback and is functioning at its best, happiest self, it knows how to get there by itself."
