Neurocognitive testing is a way to measure brain function and assess important aspects of cognition such as attention, memory, language, reaction time, perception, etc. It involves giving small tasks specifically designed to measure particular aspects of brain function. It can therefore provide you with an insightful snapshot of your brain health.
The assessments below are not meant to provide an official diagnosis or replace a comprehensive neuropsychological assessment. If you are in need a neuropsychological assessment and diagnosis, please contact our partners at Ekdom Neuropsychology Group. |

Integrated Visual and Auditory (IVA) Continuous Performance Assessment IVA is a computerized test of attention and mental concentration. It can be helpful in measuring attention in neurological injuries and disorders and in serving as a diagnostic tool in the assessment of children, adolescents, and adults with suspected ADD/ADHD. It is particularly effective in the screening of younger children with ADHD. Testing is conducted on a computer in the office and is administered by a trained member of our team. It is completely non-invasive and requires only that you sit comfortably at a desk. The entire process takes around 20 minutes. After completion of testing, results will be reviewed by us and you will receive a report with findings. The results of computerized neurocognitive testing like IVA are meant to be used for screening purposes only. They cannot, by themselves, be used to diagnose any condition, but are useful adjuncts to the diagnostic process. |

Computerized Neurocognitive Screening (CNS) Assessment CNS (Computerized Neurocognitive Screening) testing is designed to assess a broad spectrum of brain functions, enabling the measuring of important symptoms and behaviors salient to the evaluation of many neurological, psychiatric, and other conditions that can result in impairment of cognitive functions such as working memory, attention, concentration, and processing speed. Testing is conducted on a computer in our office and is administered by a trained member of our team. The assessment is completely non-invasive and requires only that you sit comfortably at a desk. The entire process takes around 45 minutes. After completion of testing, the results will be reviewed by us and you will receive a report with findings. The results of computerized neurocognitive testing like CNS are meant to be used for screening purposes only. They cannot, by themselves, be used to diagnose any condition, but are useful adjuncts to the diagnostic process. |

EEG-Based Brain Assessment (Brain Mapping) An EEG-based brain assessment, also called brain mapping, measures the brainwave activity and compares those measurements to a normative database, showing the existence or absence of deviations from the norm. It reveals how brain networks and regions are functioning and can identify glitches in brain function that cause physiological or psychological symptoms. This assessment is a key element in the process of creating a personalized and data-driven neurotherapy treatment plan. The assessment is administered in our office by a trained member of our team. It requires wearing an EEG headset (provided by us) and the placing of brainwave sensors on the scalp. The entire process takes around 45-60 minutes. After completion of the assessment, you will receive a detailed report. |
